Keep bananas in the freezer.
I recently made the mistake of putting bananas in the fridge, thinking it would last longer however the skin went black a lot faster than it would if it was left outside. Bananas can however be left in the freezer for later use.

RE: Keep bananas in the freezer.
Bananas should not be put in a refrigerator when they are not ripe. You should keep them in a closed bag, at room temperature. Put an apple in the bag to speed up ripening.

If the banana is a shade of yellow with some brown spots on it, you know it’s ripe. At this stage, you can put the banana inside the fridge and you can store it in there for up to a fortnight. The banana can turn black soon, but you can still eat them.

Speaking of bananas in the freezer, does anyone have any good recipes for banana chocolate chip bread?

According to me, Bananas should not be placed in the refrigerator when they are not mature. You should keep in a closed bag, at room temperature. The bag to speed up the ripening apples. If the banana is the number of brown spots of yellow shadow, you know it's mature. At this stage, you can put the bananas in the refrigerator, where you can store up to two weeks. Bananas turn black quickly, but you can still eat.
